Athina Kyrousi

Athina Kyrousi Greek - Italian origin is a graduate of the State School of Dance in Athens and the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens department of Italian Literature.
Since 2013, she has danced in all the productions of group Wrong Movement Organisation of Konstantin Michos at Athens Concert Hall, at Duncans Center of Study and Dance, Embros Theatre and from 2014 she dances with Anastasia Lyra Dance Company at Mikroskopiko Theatre in Athens.
From 2014 she collaborates with the musicians Antonis Stavrinos and Giannis Despotakis to create an improvised dance music trio and presenting it at 14 Association Festival of Greek coreographers at Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, at Blackbox Theater in Thessalonika and Patras.
Within the Festival EXPRESSION ATHENS 2014, she creates the piece '' The Devil in Koumoundourou Square ''.
She has collaborated with Kyriakos Kosmidis as a dancer and assistant coreographer to present the
'' Rite of Spring '' at Cubed Theatre in Athens and has danced with Tobias Funke in the World Conference Contact Improvisation 2014 in PONDEROSA in Germany.
In 2015 presents the piece '' Spes Ultima Dea '' in collaboration with the musician George Papoutsis in Music in Motion festival at Trianon Theater in Athens.

From 2015 she is a member of Allopix, a group of artists from different fields, performing the piece
'' Penduloop '' at Athens School of Fine Arts and representing Greece in MEDITERRANEA 17
YOUNG ARTISTS BIENNALE in Milan.
As a dance teacher, she has taught a lot of seminars of contemporary dance, Graham technique,ballet, contact improvisation, music and movement education for kids and dance for parents and children.
Since 2011 deals intensively with prepearing students for the entrance examinations in Senior Professional Schools of dance like the State School of Dance in Greece with great success.
Since 2014 she is a member of Cooperative Studio / Wrong Movement, an attempt to research the realationship of dance to society through courses to vulnerable social groups, organizing concerts,
contact improvisation jams and shows.
